Skills for Care forms exciting new partnership with Aston Organisation Development

Posted on Monday 2nd October 2017

Skills for Care is strengthening its offer to the social care and health sectors by joining forces with Aston Organisation Development (Aston OD).

Since Aston OD was established in 2003 its team has worked with a large number of organisations, predominantly in the health sector, to improve performance through team based working.

Its unique offer was developed by founding partners Professor Michael West and Lynn Markiewicz from a sound research base and now includes a range of online team tools and resources supported by learning and development.

Michael West, founding partner, said: “Skills for Care is a great home for Aston OD, we are so pleased to have found a partner that not only shares our passion for improving health and social care but supports our vision to enhance performance through team based working. There is no better place for us to be to begin the next phase of Aston OD’s development.”

Dame Moira Gibb, Chair of the Skills for Care Board, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to expand Skills for Care’s commercial offer as part of our ambition to secure ongoing investment in leadership and workforce development across social care and health.

“At a time when working collaboratively across boundaries is essential to improving health and social care systems, Aston OD’s product offer is particularly relevant and valuable.”
